The Water Cross Industry Graduate Development Programme

As the Water Services Industry in Ireland continues to transform, applications are open for a specialised graduate programme within the Water Services Industry. The aim of the programme is to give participants a unique opportunity to become involved in this transformation. Partners from across the industry have come together to collaborate in a unique Programme, the only of its kind in Ireland at a National level, allowing participants to become true specialists in the Water Engineering space. The partnership comprises Client: Irish Water; Consultancy: RPS; Ryan Hanley; Jacobs Engineering; Nicholas O’Dwyer; and Contractor: Glan Agua; EPS; Veolia; and Ward & Burke. As a participant on this programme, you will have the opportunity to benefit from rotations that will allow you to gain experience of Client, Consulting and Contractor perspectives on some of the largest Water infrastructure projects in the country.  The Programme will be for a duration of 2 years.  You will spend 8 months at Irish Water within Asset Delivery; 8 months with one of our Consultancy Partners; and 8 months with one of our Contractor partners. Please note, there will be a requirement to relocate on at least one rotation, depending on the company’s business needs.  During this time you will have on-going mentoring and on–the-job training.  This will be augmented by structured and relevant Inductions and Development Programmes On successful completion of the 2-year programme, a number of permanent positions will be available within Irish Water, and the participating Consultancy and Contractor firms referenced above.

Design Engineer CNG

The Design Team within Asset Management is responsible for producing conceptual and detailed designs and drawings, estimating the cost work, securing work prerequisites including materials requirements, and applying standardised design templates where appropriate. Reporting to the Senior Design Engineer CNG, the Design Engineer CNG will have responsibility for the detailed design of Capex and Opex projects. The Design Engineer CNG will provide high quality design solutions to the Networks Business, and the successful candidate will have: the ability to effectively diagnose technical issues, knowledge of process design and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.

Drawing Office Quality Lead

The Design Team within Asset Management is responsible for producing conceptual and detailed designs and drawings, estimating the cost work, securing work prerequisites including materials requirements, and applying standardised design templates where appropriate. The Design Service team is responsible for ensuring that engineering records, mapping, high quality drawings and 3D models are delivered accurately, on time and within budget to support the detailed design process. Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager (Mapping), the Drawing Office Quality Lead will be responsible for geospatial data quality for the gas network, and support the design process throughout the asset lifecycle.

Capital Projects Engineer

Reporting to the Facilities Capital Projects Manager the successful candidate will work and oversee the delivery of Capital Projects across the Ervia Organisation. The purpose of this role is to deliver a highly effective Capital Projects Management Service to Ervia from conception through to completion. This will require providing an efficient service and that key relationships both internally and externally are maximised, while working to achieve Ervia and the Business Unit drivers and objectives. The role shall also be responsible for the provision of support and advice on the procurement of Services, ensuring the department adheres to Ervia policies and procedures and Purchasing processes.

Technical Specialist

Reporting to the Technical Manager of the CCS Project, this role will be to assist in the management and development of all technical aspects (both onshore, offshore and subsurface) related to the CCS Project. The Technical Specialist function will initially focus on technical feasibility study delivery. The project if developed, will have a high level of technical complexity both in engineering design, construction and operation. The feasibility study must assess if all of the constituent parts of the project, including integration to the emitting power and industry plants, can be developed and operate effectively. The role therefore requires a person ideally with experience in one or more of the following industries: Power, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Geoscience etc. and an ability to assess the technical feasibility in a structured and disciplined manner
